At Touchmark, our philosophy is that controlling how you age is essential and gives you time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. In support of that freedom, our communities provide a continuum of services, from independent living and assisted living to our distinctive memory care programs.   

This unique approach to personalized care for individuals—and couples—impacted one couple at Touchmark on South Hill, and it reverberated to the team.   

The couple moved to Touchmark in March 2017, benefitting from the different levels of care, with one living in a memory care neighborhood and the other in an independent living apartment, all while living under the same roof. And they made many friends with residents and team members along the way. 

After losing their spouse, the other moved out of state to be closer to family. But she never forgot her Touchmark family.    

In honor of her late husband, she donated $5,000 to the Touchmark on South Hill Holiday Tip Fund to recognize the team members who gave her husband such excellent care and exemplified the Touchmark mission: To enrich people’s lives.
