As Executive Director for Touchmark at Coffee Creek, James oversees all aspects of the retirement community, including single-level Parkview homes, villa homes, Grandview apartment homes, and Prairieview Memory Care Residences. Touchmark services include independent and assisted living and memory care.
James came to Touchmark in 2024 with over 20 years of experience in the health care and senior living industries. He began his professional career as an administrator in human resources and payroll and improved operations and survey scores at several organizations before moving into a regional director of operations and campus director roles for several other communities. Before Touchmark, James held key positions in Oklahoma and Texas at Companion Health Services, The Mansion at Waterford, Colonial Estates, GoodNeighbor/Meridian, Legend Senior Living, Enlivant, Renaissance Senior Communities, Sagora Senior Living, Baptist Village of Oklahoma City, Golden Oaks Village of Stillwater, and Ranchwood Nursing Center.
In each of his previous roles, James has an impressive track record of increasing resident occupancy, team member retention, resident satisfaction, and overall scores of crucial state surveys. When the COVID-19 pandemic took hold in 2020, James successfully led his community through a challenging time by taking the lead on implementing new systems and processes to maximize resident health and safety.
James has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, certifications, and board placements throughout his career, including the Award for Most Challenged Region Turnaround, Treasurer of the Oklahoma Assisted Living Association, and Vice Chair of the Oklahoma Assisted Living Association.
He received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Management from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and a master’s magna cum laude in Business Administration in Health Care Management from Oklahoma Christian University. Outside of work, James enjoys spending his time outdoors with his three daughters.
