Vice President, Community Projects
Touchmark Central Office
April joined Touchmark Development & Construction in 2022 and assumed responsibility for maintaining, improving, and expanding all of Touchmark’s operational communities. She brings to Touchmark more than 20 years of real estate acquisition, development, design, construction, and project management, including 10-plus years of experience in senior living communities.
Prior to joining Touchmark, April was Vice President of Project Management for Solstice Senior Living and held the same title for Prestige Care, Inc. She also worked at Holiday Retirement as Senior Acquisition Project Manager. Each of these companies benefited from April’s commitment to place residents’ needs centrally, create and implement standards for renovations and ongoing maintenance requirements, and successfully manage refurbishment and expansion projects.
Before moving into senior living, April’s early career supported the growth in wireless communications, such as managing companies building wireless networks and overseeing the design and implementation of Oregon’s emergency wireless interoperability network. Much of this work revolved around building close relationships and consulting with various vendors, engineers, community leaders, and other stakeholders —a skill she carried into senior living.
April holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Affairs and Business Administration from Washington State University and proudly cheers for the Cougars.
Away from work, April enjoys hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest with her husband and Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs. Good wine and international travel are also passions; you’ll find her on a jet to Italy any chance she can.
"Hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest is just one of my passions; here I am on one trek with my two Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs."
