Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Werner G. Nistler, Jr., founded the privately held company in 1980 in Beaverton, Oregon. He wished to create new lifestyle communities that offered a broad range of services and amenities in high-quality homes with compassionate staff supporting the people living there. Today, Touchmark communities are located in eight states and Alberta, Canada. We are proud that many of our own parents live in a Touchmark community.

Touchmark’s 1,200-plus team members are the heart of Touchmark’s lifestyle and are guided by the company’s mission.
